Education

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering with Honours at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with an expected graduation in 2025. My academic focus includes drilling engineering, reservoir simulation, production technology, and engineering ethics, supported by a current CGPA of 3.13. Through this program, I’ve developed a strong technical foundation and a commitment to sustainable and ethical engineering practices.

Skills

Experience

I completed my internship at Pantheleum Sdn. Bhd., where I was actively involved in several engineering and educational initiatives. My responsibilities included assisting with the delivery of technical training programs, designing 3D models using SolidWorks, and supporting the development of educational tools tailored for the oil and gas sector. This experience allowed me to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, sharpen my CAD design skills, and contribute to real-world engineering education. In addition to my internship, I serve as the team leader for Asia Pacific University’s Drillbotics competition team. Under my leadership, the team successfully advanced to Phase 2 of the global competition by developing a Virtual Rig–Well Control system. This role has strengthened my ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate technical tasks under tight deadlines, and apply petroleum engineering principles in simulated drilling environments. Through both roles, I’ve gained valuable exposure to teamwork, project planning, and innovation within the energy industry.

1. Drillbotics Competition

As the team leader of APU’s Drillbotics team, I led the development of a fully functional virtual rig control system, simulating real-time drilling operations and well control scenarios. This project required integration of petroleum engineering knowledge, coding logic, real-time data monitoring, and teamwork. Advancing to Phase 2 in this international competition highlighted our innovation, problem-solving, and project execution skills.

2. Internship Project

3D Engineering Design and Educational Tools At Pantheleum Sdn. Bhd., I worked on several projects involving the design and prototyping of mechanical parts using SolidWorks. These tools were developed to support technical education in the oil and gas industry. I also participated in content development and delivery for training modules targeted at young engineers and students.

3. Final Year Project

Nano Silica in Drilling Mud for Enhanced Cuttings Transport This research-focused project studied the impact of nano-silica additives on the rheological behavior of water-based drilling mud. It involved experimental testing using a flow-loop system to analyze cuttings transport performance, contributing to safer and more efficient drilling fluid design. The project demonstrated my ability to conduct applied research and interpret experimental data for engineering solutions..

SWOT Analysis

According to my Year 4 Semester 1 PO Report Card, I scored 1.0 in all 12 areas of Programme Outcomes. This demonstrates that you are achieving excellent results in petroleum engineering. I was able to use science and engineering principals, study challenging projects, make use of the newest tools and conduct investigations (PO1-4). Learning and working in different environments helped me reinforce my skills in types PO5, PO6 and PO7, as well as PO8.. .
